Lummi Island Ferry Advisory Committee meets tomorrow.
LIFAC Meeting Wednesday 9/19 6:30PM Lummi Fire Hall
Editorial Comment: All County citizens’ advisory committees are legally required to publish meeting announcements with agendas at least 24 hours in advance. (I trust today’s announcement also went to the Bellingham Herald and the County). They also are required to prepare and approve minutes of all their meetings, all comments from the public, and all documents they review or produce. Everything (including emails) should be stored somewhere that is accessible to the public as well as to county officials. I hope that LIFAC will take time tomorrow evening at their meeting to develop a serious communications plan that they will then lay out clearly to the public, so they can meet these county and state requirements.
