Ferry-related County Council Agenda Items for 2/14/2012

I’ve volunteered to try to let people know about upcoming County Council meetings which will have agenda items related to ferry operations. I will not be going to the meetings to see how things come out, but will also try to report formal actions taken from information published after the meetings from the Council office.

Note: While I guarantee anything I report will be directly from a published agenda, I can’t promise I won’t miss something. I’ll do the best I can, though.

Here’s my first report for the Tuesday, 2/14/2012 Council committee meetings and regular Council meeting scheduled.

Brief Summary: At 1:30pm the Public Works and Safety Committee is scheduled to discuss and decide what action to recommend to the County Council regarding the proposed ordinance to create a Lummi Island Ferry Advisory Committee. Then, in the main Council meeting starting at 7pm, the whole Council will receive the committee’s recommendation and have an opportunity to discuss and make their final vote on the ordinance.
