More on lease negotiations

This just in: County Exec Pete Kremen has told Bellingham Herald that Council did not go for proposal from Mon negotiation, but Kremen informed Lummi Nation today that Council drafted counter-proposal for presentation in next face-to-face session, hopefully Friday as previously scheduled. Watch for John Stark’s more detailed report later this evening on The Herald website and tomorrow’s print edition.

  1. In the interim, let’s remember Kremen’s solemn promises to keep the ferry running regardless — and if negotiations go beyond the Lummi’s most recent “stop service deadline” — that he’ll be on the first ferry of the first post ‘deadline’ day, should that come to pass.
