Isn’t modern technology wonderful? This is a huge improvement over the old model which had a rope stretched across the pass which passengers had to pull on to move the ferry across.
This would really encourage walk-on passengers who keep walking the whole way across for free.
Or perhaps the first Lummi Island ‘Fitness Center’ with free membership. Scheduling may become a problem though.
